Anon Optics, a leader in ski and snowboard helmet and goggle technology with deep roots in active lifestyle, announces its new sunglass collection will debut May 2, 2022. Following the release of Anon’s proprietary lens technology, PERCEIVE, in 2020 for snowsports goggles, Anon has expanded its eyewear offering to include sunglasses with PERCEIVE Polarized High Contrast Lenses. This collection includes three new styles: Advocate, Promoter and Winderness.
“These are the glasses you will want to wear when you are not wearing goggles, whether it is time in the skin track or sharing stories at the end of the day in the parking lot,” said Mark Wakeling, General Manager of Anon Optics. “Our goal is to create designs that will have people talking, but at the same time be extremely functional for life in the mountains.”
The collection is made in small batches by genuine sunglass craftsmen from the Fukui region of Japan who are known for making the best sunglasses in the world. Every style features PERCEIVE Polarized lenses designed to maximize contrast and definition. The lenses have Hydro/Oleophobic treatments and now include the added glare protection of polarized filters. They feature materials such as hypoallergenic beta-titanium, stainless steel hinges, cellulose acetate and unique colors.
The Advocate is a conservatively fashionable, modern update to a classic lifestyle frame. Both lifestyle and sport-oriented, it features a hybrid temple arm with a titanium temple core and titanium eyering around the perimeter of the lens. Minimalist and lightweight, these glasses sit comfortably on both the ears and bridge of the nose. A mild side shield gives the advocate extra versatility for when you’re spending time on the skin track. Available in three colorways: Black, Tortoise and Rock Salt. MSRP: $229.99
The Promoter is a staple accessory that works with any ensemble. The cat-eye frame fits in nicely whether you’re out to dinner on the patio or out for a hike on the trail. Curvy and sleek, the Promoter is designed with adventure in mind, and fits comfortably without looking like a piece of technical gear. It features a perfect blend of materials with a traditional cellulose upper frame and a lightweight titanium lower lens ring. Offered in three colorways: Black, Tortise and Rock Salt. MSRP: $249.99
Maintain speed all day with the Winderness. Designed with a molded TPE (soft plastic) nose pad and temple tip, the Winderness sits securely on the face. The low volume temple lie lightly over the ears for a near-invisible feel that remains all day for lasting comfort during endurance activities. The Winderness comes with a low-light bonus lens for cloudy or variable conditions. Available in two colorways: Black and Fire Red. MSRP: $259.99
